The sky is brilliant red just after sunset on May 10, 1995, as more trains depart and arrive at Union Pacific’s huge Bailey Yard at North Platte, Nebraska. A westbound is about to take down its signal on the triple-track main line through Birdwood as another eastbound approaches hoping for track space in the yard.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
