Just before a heavy rain shower enveloped the area, XP2004 powers its XPT around the S-bend out of Stroud Road.
The XPT ex Melbourne passes over Menangle bridge under the last bit of evening sunlight. This particular locomotive is one of the last remaining in the original Countrylink livery.
XP2000 leads a north bound service through East Maitland station.
Coming from the UK, although it's nice to see these UK designed power cars, it is a real shame that they don't work as hard here.... (more)
