Moments before sunset at the end of another hot day in the desert, the golden light reflects off a high priority intermodal as it rounds a curve and heads east between Siberia and Amboy.
Two thirds of the power is visible on a 4x3x2-powered BNSF grain train as it thunders westwards between Ibis and Arrowhead Junction on a warm morning out in the Mojave desert.
Yet another intermodal is illuminated by yet another southern California sunset, yet somehow i never seem to tire of watching these racehorses thundering across the majestic Mojave landscape.
A UP manifest train glides across the box girder bridge which carries westbound (and sometimes eastbound) trains on the Sunset route over Cienega Creek in southern Arizona.
