The train from Antonito climbs the grade to Cumbres Pass on its return to Chama New Mexico.

Shortly before sunrise the 489 fills the morning air with smoke as it climbs toward Cumbres. This was part of a two day photo op sponsored by the Friends of the C&TS.

No smoke, coasting down hill to Charma in the afternoon.

A photographers special is traveling through the Los Pinos Valley as a chase train for the 315. There are plenty of cattle grazing throughout the valley and they seem to be oblivious to the train.... (more)
