| This was THE FIRST SD40 built at EMD. It built on an SD35 frame originally. At first, it was used as a demo unit for EMD and it was later sold GM&O. Finally it ended up in a Illinois Central paint at Wallace Yard in Freeport IL. Thanks to Steve and Bill |
