| Taken the morning this unit was sent out for retirement, this GP38, formerly Conrail/PC 7898 was assigned to Conrail Shared Assets Operations North and South Jersey Districts. Conrail had painted both ends of this unit yellow for better visibilty while switching industries and has since faded to an off white. This unit which was to be assigned to Bayway, NJ was also equipped with cab mounted strobe lights that did not last very long. |
