During the brief period of control by the NYSW over the Delaware & Hudson, 'bumble-B40-8s' were the norm. On July 8, 1989, a pair of NYSW 'bees', led by 4040, cross the Erie High Bridge at Letchworth State Park in New York. The sun illuminated the bridge and the the lookout binoculars, however not the west side of the hill.
