Q582 crosses the "new" bridge over the Tennessee River at Bridgeport. The old bridge, upon which a walking trail has recently been constructed, still stands to the right. This is actually a drawbridge and the lift span, a part of the original bridge, towers in the background. Long Island, a strip of land in the middle of the river, separates the bridge into two sections.
