| French "40 & 8" boxcar restored and donated by SNCF to the museum in 2001. Some 49 of these cars were filled with gifts, given special paint jobs, and gifted to the US following the end of the war (the "Merci Train") but this is the only one I know of in the United States that is displayed in authentic paint and lettering. |
