Remarks & Notes
Amtrak's F40's first worked on the Reno Fun Train in 1978 in combination with SDP40F's and the remaining two ex-SP FP7's. Twenty-three years later, in 2001, they would make their last trips on the seasonal train. On this day, now preserved Operation Lifesaver unit#231 is leading along with #369 and #281. #281 is also preserved at the California State Railroad Museum.
