Northbound Texas Eagle running about 1 1/2 hours late on an early, yet very muggy, July morning. The train was filled to capacity with summer vacationers who opted to take Amtrak in the wake of record high gasoline prices. The baggage car is one of the Amtrak "1700 Series" baggage cars. These cars were originally Amtrak Heritage Fleet Budd-built coaches, later converted to baggage cars--Nikon D200
