Remarks & Notes
The Ffestinog Railway was built in the 1830s as a horse and gravity operated line to transport slate from the quarries at Blaenau Ffestiniog to the harbour at Porthmadog. This is a recreation of a gravity slate train, gradually losing momentum as it hits the level track of The Cob at Porthmadog, with a full complement of brakemen in Victorian costume!
