| Conrail's "First Rock" pushes east at the CNJ depot. The ex CNJ cabin is class Conrail N4B. The GEEP is ex New York Central. The First Rock was in service around 8am in Raritan yard, shook out its cars, took a fifteen minute coffee break and headed down to Bound Brook to interchange with the LV and drill Bound Brook yard. At this late date there was still quite a bit of box car siding traffic east and west of Bound Brook and the Chimney Rock branch." The gentleman in red is CNJ vet Kenny Pear who is probably conducting. |
