| Perhaps one of the greatest shows in steam railroading today, in my opinion is watching Western Maryland Scenic 734 tackle the 1.75% grade around Helmstetter’s Curve. It’s even better when the 734 is fighting rain along with pulling full cars of sightseers. They certainly don’t lie in the brochure when they proclaim her, “Mountain Thunder”! |
