Remarks & Notes |
Looks like the Lake State had another little problem ... From someone in the know, "This car actually started losing it's parts and pieces back in the yard. It was the first car behind engine's pulling a double grain train in. It first came off at the 8th St. end of yard by the 13/15 switches, losing it's first wheels by the power switches at Washington St. It is thought that the tension kept this car suspended as the engines continued across the bridge and diamond for head room, losing more parts as it went. Losing 2 more sets of wheels at the diamond and car stayed suspended until train was slacked and then fell about where you see it today." |
