Richmond's Main Street Station was built in 1901 as a joint effort between SAL and C&O, but sadly is now buried beneath a maze of interstates. Two legs of the Bellwood SD straddle both sides of the station. To the left, a coal train, which had been parked for hours waiting for a recrew, starts to pull.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
