Plodding east at Porter Road, T08 is nearing the one time location of Dranoel, Ontario. At one time this was a busy junction of the Toronto to Montreal mainline and CP's line to Lindsay, Orillia and Port McNicholl. During peak grain shipping season up to 12 trains could have entered the mainline at Dranoel from the branch, heavy with loaded grain boxes out of Port McNicholl. This branch, built as a "grain line" by the Georgian Bay and Seaboard, was severed by CP in or around 1937. From then on Dranoel saw trains exit the main on their way to Lindsay and the branchline from Lindsay to Bobcaygeon. 1219hrs.
