Remarks & Notes
Perhaps one of Britain's most elegant 4-6-0's, Sir William Stanier's 'Jubilee' class all carried evocative names. The many countries of the (then) British Empire, famous sea battles, Admirals of the fleet and figures from Greek myth and legend. One of four survivors, 1936 Crewe-built 'Leander' looks splendid in newly applied LMS crimson livery. Her exhaust may contravene a few local by-laws though!
