Erie Mining/LTV Steel owned just one Alco C424, number 7230. It was built 10-64 as # 500. It was typically assigned to the Dunka Branch crude ore trains. In the above view, the 7230 is just beginning to pull out of the loading area at the end of the Dunka Branch on a nice summer afternoon in Northern Minnesota.
