Remarks & Notes
Leaving Keighley on a sharp, flange-squealing curve, trains are immediately faced with a 1 in 58 gradient. On one of the KWVR's wonderful 'gala' days, 'Jinty' 0-6-0 tank of 1924 shows her Midland Railway lineage to full effect. She is piloting Taff Vale Railway 0-6-2 tank No.85, an 1899 product of Neilsen's works in Glasgow. In the headshunt is L&Y 0-6-0 No.52044 of 1887, completing almost 300 years worth of working locomotives in one picture!
