Remarks & Notes
The steep gradient of Oakworth bank provides possibly the most favoured photographic location on the KWVR. The slopes are usually carpeted in hues of glowing 'hi-viz' orange! On this occasion I found myself with just my dog for company and we were rewarded with a fine display by the crew of 52044 in her newly applied British Railways livery. She ended her BR days in 1959 when she was allocated to Wakefield MPD carrying (as here) the 56A code for that depot.
