Remarks & Notes
Contrary to popular belief, the river that flows alongside the railway between Oxenhope and Haworth is not called the River Worth. In fact it's name is Bridgehouse Beck, alongside which LMS Class '3F' 0-6-0 tank No.47279 is seen leaving Haworth heading for Oxenhope. Some 370 of these useful machines were built including 47279 a 1924 product from contractors Vulcan Foundry of Newton-le-Willows in Lancashire. The eagle-eyed will also spot the chicken coop (& chickens), now a long gone memory of lineside activity!
