| An older generation of photographers decried the lack of steam and smoke from the new diesels -- made it difficult to tell they were moving! Now, with the demise of cabooses and advent of distributed power units, it's become increasingly difficult to tell which end of a train is which. This is actually the rear; ES44DC 7649 is in the lead. |
