| N&W 611 prepares to depart Roanoke on its first excursion on NW rail. The Hotel Roanoke, N&W's old General Office building and the rear of the former passenger station are visible in the background. Roanoke to Norfolk and return was the schedule. A slight mishap with the 611 in Norfolk, however, marred the return trip. |
