The driver of SY 0848 pays some attention to his steed as the evening sun slips away behind a forest of wires, signals, smoke and steam. Between the locomotives is a deep ash pit. Welcomingly warm, the locoman's 'bothy' sits nestled amidst this glorious grime. Green tea and broad grins await within. Happy memories!
