| The Face of Modern Day Horsepower. EMD's Special Duty MAC's. MOUNTAIN CLIMBERS! Even though these units are purring in idle it doesn't compare to the deafening growl they create when they are dragging high tonnage trains up stiff mountain grades on their knees. There's no mistaking the sound of an EMD locomotive in number 8 throttle. |
