In stark contrast to the gleaming SD70MACs and spotless blue and yellow passenger trains commonly associated with the Alaska Railroad, two well-worn GP40-2s, still in the black and yellow colors of the 1970s, show the less "glamorous" side of this national treasure as they're spotted moving northward along the Turnagain Arm with a long work train in tow. |
