Remarks & Notes
ETR 470 004 in the new livery is entering the italian/swiss border station Brig as train 44 from Milan to Basel, after traversing the 19 kilometre long Simplon tunnel. In the freight tracks we can see the second generation of Cisalpinos tilt trains, the ETR 610 005, which made test runs in the Rhone valley. In the upper left corner of the photo you can see the beginning of the Lötschberg mountain line, crossing the river Rhone. The tracks towards Visp and the new Lötschberg base line leave the station behind the grey noise protection walls.
