Remarks & Notes |
If you ever wondered what fall in New England might have looked like when steam ruled the rails, you need to visit the Wiscasset, Waterville & Farmington Railway Museum in October. This railroad is a time warp in the woods of Maine. This shot of an authentic mixed train was taken very near the current north end of the line. In evidence are piles of railroad ties which have been positioned for an upcoming work weekend in which the museum will extend the line another 1200 ft. |
