BCOL 806 has just arrived on the property in the Tug Hill Plateau region of New York, a long way from BC, and still retains full, untouched (but tattered) BCOL paint. Genesee Valley Transportation (owner of Delaware-Lackawanna) had a major expansion in 1991 with the acquisition of several Conrail secondary lines out of Utica, NY and Carthage, NY and the L&BR shortline. To run these lines they acquired several BCOL C425's. The 806 started life as Erie Lackawanna 2456 in October 1964, going to the BCOL in April 1976.
This gallery contains photos of equipment and properties that became, were and used to be part of the Erie Lackawanna Railroad. This gallery also contains photos of equipment paying tribute to the EL or its predecessors.
