| When British Railways withdrew steam no LNER Class A1 locomotives were saved. This is a brand new A1 class locomotive. It is the first new build standard gauge steam locomotive in the UK since 1960 and was built approx 100 yards from where many of it's sisters were built in the late 1940s.
After 17 years of hard work, the A1 Locomotive Trust's brand new steam locomotive 60163 'Tornado' is seen at the head of the 2A33 1500 Loughborough - Leicester North during the Great Central Railway's Steam Gala Weekend. The loco is still in grey primer and will be painted in apple green livery
