History... a CSX freight passes through Kennesaw, formerly known as Big Shanty. Big Shanty was where the 'Great Locomotive Chase' began on the Western & Atlantic RR. To the right is the Southern Museum of Civil War & Locomotive History, where the stolen locomotive, "The General", is on display. To the left are the Battle Flag of the Confederacy, the US flag and the current Georgia State Flag.
