| SP was power short in '78-'79 and leased Amtrak P30's so they could use the SDP45's and GP40P-2's on freights. Here leaving San Francisco Southbound at the beginning of the PM rush. None of the SP coaches were HEP, but I believe the double Decker cars had their own power. It's not too cold in SF in the Winter anyway. |
