Remarks & Notes 
A southbound Cascades Service train set pounds the Steilacoom drawbridge. Of particular interest are the heavily corroded rails buried in the channel. You can see a fishplate and several bolt holes. Judging by the size of the rail, these appear to be very old. I can only guess as to how they wound up buried here.

From Vancouver, BC, to Eugene, OR, this route runs along stretches of Puget Sound and the Columbia and Willamette Rivers. The TALGO trainsets that were the line's backbone for many years were withdrawn from service after they were cited in the 2017 crash
