Remarks & Notes
A typical prairie scene, except for the large steam locomotive blasting through. UP Challenger 3985 leads a short train eastward, while coal empties head west back to the mines. The track at left loops around the Kaapa Grains facility, so a train can be continuously loaded. Corn is so valuable in the Midwest that any extra space is used, such as the strip of land between the elevator and the UP main.
