One has to wonder how many times photographers like Richard Steinheimer, Ted Benson, and Ron Nixon stood on the platform of the Missoula, Montana Milwaukee Depot. Their hope? The headlight of a MILW train along the Clark Fork River, usally with Little Joe's or Boxcabs. Tonight, my hope is to get an idea of what they felt and saw, even though the wires fell some 15 years before I was born, and rails lifted some 5 years after that. As they say everyone wishes they were born 30 years earlier.
