| Early on a sunny summer morning, eastbound S-SEACHC1-07A is nearing the end of its climb from the bank of the Columbia River to the top of the plateau at Quincy. The signals the head end has just passed have since been retired and a new set installed at the distant curve. Between the near hill and the distant fields, at a substantially lower elevation than the train's current location, lies the famous Trinidad Loop. |
