| Two of BNSF's new ES44C4 locos along with GECX test car #90 head up a 6000 plus ton stack train about to ascend Stevens Pass. The locos onl have 4 traction motors as the center axle on each truck is unpowered. They are supposed to equal the performance of an ES44DC. There are two more of these locos along with an isolated ES44DC in DPU mode on the rear. These locos seemed to handle the train fine up the 2.2% |
