You can just feel the impatience of this scene: outbound crew is on board, waiting for the road foreman of engines to board (I don't know if that's him by the car, but I know the crew was waiting); the countdown to blastoff from the depot has already begun. In those days, it was track speed once the crew had it underway, in order to maintain decent speed for the run up Sherman on tracks 1/2. The OMW here will reach 40 mph by the time the headend reaches CP511 and will hold 40 screaming in run 8 to cross over to track 2 for the run to the summit. Those were the days....
