| Turning round and stepping back three paces from my previous photograph, gave me this terrific vantage point to capture the 'dynamic duo' framed by a lovely (and increasingly rare) semaphore signal. Grindleford signalbox is on the right and once the train has rounded the curve and through the station, it will plunge into Totley Tunnel. At 6230 yards and completed in 1893 the bore will emerge on the ouskirts of Sheffield and a different county - South Yorkshire. |
