The Wilmington & Western Railroad is an extremely interesting line, which follows the Red Clay Creek north from Greenbank to Hockessin, Delaware. It features no fewer than nine bridges over its roughly 10 mile length, many of which are in secluded, wooded settings. This one however, is literally right beside a beautiful country road. Facing west, it is nicely sunlit in the afternoon. Here, the line's Baldwin Switcher #58 hauls a passenger consist toward the town of Ashland on a pleasant Friday afternoon.
