It never ceases to amaze me that we took all those BORING MP blues for granted! I remember well the disgust that I felt when I would go through the diesel shop and yard and not catch any UP pool power, U30Cs or U23Bs, Southern pool power or anything different than all those blue SD40s/-2s! My gosh looking at this stuff today I'm just shaking my head that I didn't get more. The eagles were seemingly everywhere, and hung on right up 'till the end. Here the outbound HNS, usually a night train and usually having quickly turned Southern power, is all blue and ready for blastoff for Beaumont and DeQuincy.
