Remarks & Notes
A Union Pacific's RCL switcher works yard trackage at North Yard in Salt Lake City. UP 725, a GP38-2, was built for the Missouri Pacific as MP 2225 in August of 1980. In the distance, the Utah State Capitol building dominates the capitol hill area of Salt Lake City. The structure was designed by Utah architect Richard K.A. Kletting in 1912 and was completed in 1916. The stately building underwent a complete renovation and a major earthquake retrofit between 2004 and 2007.
