Remarks & Notes

Four SD70MACs lead a northbound empty coal train toward Anchorage and points north seen here just before entering CTC territory south of downtown Anchorage. The train unloaded earlier this day in Seward and is now working northbound toward its next load cycle at the Healy mine. For the previous 38 miles the train has been skirting the Turnagain Arm (seen in the background) and is in the final DTC block before entering a 65 mile stretch of CTC control.
