Remarks & Notes
The “Rose Bowl Special” headed by Santa Fe FP 45 # 101 crosses the Arroyo Seco and the Pasadena Freeway on January 1st, 1990. The single track steel viaduct was originally constructed in 1895 for the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway. It was rebuilt for the Metro Gold Line in 1995 into a double track electric light rail line. Steve Crise Photo, © 1990 Scrise.com.
