Brand new C30-7 #8035 leads two SD45s on an early morning eastbound manfiest along Santa Fe's Transcon. The hogger gives us a friendly wave, while my dad captures the moment on Plus-X Pan. Image is taken west of NM-109 Jarales Road crossing, just east of Belen Yard. The C30-7 was built in June of 1978, so only a month old here (she was retired Jan 1994 and scrapped Jul 1996). #5537 was built Oct 1966 and eventually went to the WC. #5513 dated from June 1966 and was scrapped in 1991.
