| Getting closer! Probably one of the most unknown steam restoration projects going on in the country at the moment would have to be the Cass Scenic Railroads Climax locomotive which is being restored by the Mountain State Railroad and Logging Historical Association. The restoration which started in October of 2002 has been a long one. With hundreds of parts needing to be made or rebuilt this locomotive will be good as new. A recent grant for $200000 was recently received to get the boiler up to spec. Expect to see #9 out in just a few short years!
