At the Newtonville S-curve, CN train 308 behind CN 8827 and 2439 meets train 373 behind IC 2720 and 5650. I set up to shoot the oncoming 308 with my 300mm, having heard him leave Oshawa over the radio, and I knew he was running wrong main via signal indication, but 373 showing up at the right time was just good luck. A busy morning, with six freights in a short timeframe; CN 107, CP 235, CP 113, CN 308, CN 373, and CN 369. Six trains but only one eastbound into the sun! 0905hrs.
