Remarks & Notes
The steam to diesel transition reached the East Broad Top later than most other railroads. As the railroad's four Mikados were taken out of service one-by-one in the late 1990s and early 2000s, 55-tonner M7 was acquired to help with the load. Nowadays, with only one steam engine available, she pulls almost as many trains during the Fall Spectacular as 2-8-2 15. The conductor hangs on for a ride around the wye as cold 2-8-2 17 can only watch.
