Remarks & Notes
Raiding the old negatives for scanning, I came up with this old view from 1980. Class 47 no. 47 351 passes through Guide Bridge Station with a Merry-Go-Round coal service heading back to Yorkshire with the empties. The station has completely changed now, being reduced to just two tracks and two platforms and most of the buildings have been demolished. The loco was built in July 1963 and withdrawn in January 2000. It was finally cut up in February 2001.
